1998 Sunsetter VLX will not run!!

I am the original owner of a 1998 Sunsetter VLX.  I have not had any serious issues until now.  It just quit running four days ago in the middle of the lake.

I have done the following diagnostics with no luck.

40 PSI fuel pressure at key up.  Removed spark plug and have spark.  Fuel pump cycles for two seconds and then turns off at key up.  Gauges are fully operational.  Have 12 Volts at red wire on injector valves.  Checked all fuses, wire connectors and ground wires.  Will run briefly by shooting starting fluid down the throttle.  

Need help on what to check next!!!

It’s a fuel issue as it runs off of starting fluid for a few seconds. I would start at the fuel pump and work back from there. Possibly clogged fuel filters would be my guess.

 Just for kicks, check to make sure that your safety lanyard is in place and functional.  You can jumper the switch in the back to make sure.

Is this a throttle body injection motor?

No. It is ported fuel injection
