Turning fin

Recommended Posts

I have a 2000 Malibu sunsetter. Today the front turning fin turned up missing. I've ordered another but does anyone know where I can get screws to attach to the hull?

I just repaired my bent one that was partially falling off. They are not very secure in the hull so if it wasn't stolen then its in the bottom of the lake. Have you checked out the threads that hold it in the hull? They can strip out easy and need to be repaired especially if it was hit. Any counter sunk flat head stainless or brass screws should work and the 3m 4200 sealer too.

I'd probably use 5200 sealer for a tracking fin.  And I agree, the holes should be repaired so the screws have something to bite on.
