Cracked Ballast Fitting

Hey all, I did some searching and didn’t see anything recent in the forums.
 

Does anyone have any experience fixing a cracked ballast fitting? Ideally I’d replace the thing but I’m worried about causing more damage. This is the starboard rear bag. 
 

One thing I saw in another post was to use JB weld plastic weld epoxy 50133 after sanding the gap. Should I attempt to replace or will the epoxy do the trick? 
 

In the picture you can see the water coming out. It doesn’t seem like a lot in this picture but when the upper bag is full it has more flow. The boat starts to list and fills the hull with water to about 2 inches. 

Repair or replace?

Epoxy and a hose clamp around it.  I have never replaced one, I am sure it can be done but that sounds like an offseason project.

Yup. I used two part epoxy and a worm gear hose clamp. On another I used that epoxy putty and a hose clamp again.  
To be clear I also disassembled it all and took the time to get the previous silicone off as best I could. Good luck. Let us know if you think of a better patch.
