'14 Nav Freezes on Initializing screen

I have a '14 23 LSV with the factory Nav. About 1/2 times, when I go to start the map, the whole system locks up on the Initializing Navigation Database screen. Only thing I can do is fully power cycle and try again. 

Any ideas? 

I'm wondering if the map DB area loaded is too big?
