Aftermarket power wedge controller for non-mux boats

Last fall my power wedge control box died. I had the original 30047-004 rev D box in my boat for the 3 lobe actuators. Lenco discontinued 30047-004 and replaced it with 30271-0015 Malibu part 6174033 which is the non mux v ride box for 06-09 Malibu's and 10-14?? V ride boats. 
 

Right around covid the control box became difficult to get. The price skyrocketed and used to cost around $300 but skyrocketed to $1300.  I decided to use the winter down months build my own wedge controller. 

A lot of investigation, design, and coding revisions later I have it finished and was even able to include some new features like GPS based logic so that when you slow down it takes the wedge down to the lowest drag setting and when you take off it returns it to the saved setpoint you were just at. 

I also made a calibrate function where you can stow the wedge while not moving in case you need to bring it up while on the trailer. Though the rest of the time it follow the normal >1mph rule to allow stowing.

I was inspired by the wakegarage Arduino surf tab project to use the dfrobot Romeo Arduino board to drive a 2 channel 30A rated 12v relay however this code and program is completely my own. I also designed the component mounting plate system and enclosure and make them on my 3d printer.

 

i published wiring and code over on wakegarage forum. I built a couple control boxes for other but I’m not planning to build any others due to liability risk if something odd were to happen

Ohhh man that's a burn. Those are very problematic. I've also heard the mux switches on the 2010-12 boats are becoming very hard to get your hands on replacements.

Anything is better than most. Most people will drop their boat off at the dealer for a basic oil change and pay $300 for it. 

Post them up. Someone will learn from it.
