Power wedge stuck down

Recommended Posts

I have a 2013 vlx 21 and previously couldn’t get the wedge to do anything then I found a fuse that goes to it, I replaced it and it automatically put the wedge all the way down. Now I can’t get it to come back up

You have to be moving 3-7 mph to retract the wedge.  hopefully thats all it is  Those actuators are notorius in 2013 and maybe the fuse tripped because that actuator got some water in it.  They are really not user serviceable and you cant get them anymore.  So you get to replace both of them and buy a new computer controller if one is shot.

Agreed - if you have it on a trailer and have a gps speedo, you can simply put it in stow position and just drive it around the block.  If you don't have gps speedo or don't want to drive it around, put it into paddlewheel speedo mode in the settings, set the wedge to the stow position and hit the paddle wheel to make it think you are moving and it should stow.

Also, be sure nobody is near the wedge when it is moving.....it doesn't detect people and will move even if something is in its way, could cause serious injury if you aren't careful.

I have 2008 wakesetter vlx with the wedge stuck down. It has never worked properly. Fairly new actuators, fuse looks fine as it makes noise hitting down or deploy button I’ve been in water moving and hit up button. Nothing. Tried out of water with key on and in gear while spinning speedo wheel. Nothing. I’m about ready to throw this wedge in a hole. Im pretty soured on @malibuboats for never addressing this problem with owners any suggestions?
