25 year streak broken...turn key doesn't start.

Is there a start relay mounted to the MEFI mounting box? When I turn the key I feel a relay trying to engage but nothing at the starter. 1996 Response LXI 320 HP 5.7 GM Indmar Monsoon TBI

yes, starter solenoid gets juice from that starter relay.  it will have yellow wires in the relay socket.

there should be two other relays (ign and fuel pump) in the same location.  all 3 relays are alike.

swap one of the other relays into the socket w the yellow wires and see if that changes the situation.

change == bad starter relay.  no change MAY indicate a bad starter or solenoid (if battery is healthy and charged).

If switching the relay does not help, try tapping the starter with a hammer while someone holds key in start position. If it goes, get a new starter.

That is great news! I pulled the MEFI cover and all there was were wires and connectors. What do you have to so to get access to the relays? It's not obvious.
