2005 Wakesetter Monsoon 340 - starts bit won't run.

Purchased a Monsoon 340 in a 2005 Wakesetter. The engine will start and run for ~30 seconds and dies. Is this a situation anyone has experienced? What is the best approach to resolve the issue?

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and watch what happens.

Also check the condition of your ignition components, cap, rotor, spark plugs, and ignition wires.

I have not had a chance to get a fuel pressure reading yet, but I believe it will be none or too little. Since it does start repeatedly, I think the ignition system is functional. Any thoughts about a fuel pump versus a sensor switch? Considering it may be an oil pressure sensor interrupting the engine from running once it starts. I am just brainstorming here.  Thanks for your interest!!!

It could be either.  You could bypass the pressure switch or just wire 12v directly to the pump to find out, but you really need the gauge to make sure that it isn't the regulator or some other problem.  If you do hotwire the pump and it works, resist the urge to go out and use the boat until you fix it properly.
