Right surfgate not extending

2019 Malibu 24mxz. While on the lake, the right gate starts to extend then retracts. After that right gate would not extend from start at all. Turned all power off a few minutes, recalibrate,  and also maintainence mode.  Both gates seem to function normal in maintenance mode. Went out for a few runs and right gate was functioning.  Then same problem, gate begins to extend, then retracts. No high speed gate warning and spee at about 11.3. Any suggestions?

There are a bunch of good threads about surf gates in the maintenance and troubleshooting forum.  Very good info from people in the past who may not be around to repeat it here now for you.  There’s good info about ways to use jumpers to help troubleshoot the system and force it to function test.  That way you know if the part isn’t working bc it’s defective or merely just not getting the proper signal from the sg controller.

I always check the main power post connection on the port stringer under the center rear seat near the transmission mount and the battery ground cable on the engine bell housing first.
