Indmar Monsoon 350 cam and crankshaft codes

Recommended Posts

2014 Indmar Monsoon 350

Ihave had boat for a year. When I first took it out was getting a crankshaft position sensor error. Dealer checked and couldn’t find a problem and cleared the code   Came back first time out but engine ran just fine. This year still getting crankshaft code but now engine skips or misses occasionally under load after running for an hour. Replaced crankshaft sensor. Now getting a cam sensor error along with crankshaft position error and still occasionally under a load misses after running for over an hour   It seems like it is getting worse the more we take it out. Any suggestions?

Carefully clean and inspect the connectors for your sensors.  If the spring contact in the female socket is not making good contact, you can get false readings.  You might need a small tool like a dental pick to gently pry the contact back into position.  Put a dab of grease on each contact before you reassemble the connectors.
