Stock Malibu cover replacement ratchets

Recommended Posts

Anyone know where to find the two ratchet straps joined together that go on the back of the stock Malibu boat covers?  The short webbing piece in between the two ratchets broke yesterday when I was tightening the cover mostly from dry rot.  The ratchets could use replacing as well so figured maybe I could just buy that whole assembly.

Boat is a '07 247 LSV, but the dual ratchets have been used for several year models.

Maybe Commercial Sewing might sell you one.  Otherwise I would just make your own or go to a canvas shop if you need someone to stitch you up that connector that bolts between the ratchet handles.

If your strap thing rotted, your cover isn't far off.  I wouldn't spend a ton on it.

I'd replace with a standard ratchet strap buckle.  While some stock ones have 2 ratchets back to back, many only have 1.  Would be up to you when you replace.

The ones with only 1 ratchet have a continuous strap all the way around.  The 2 ratchet have a strap on each side of cover.  You can't swap 1 ratchet in - at least not on my cover
