Out surfing today on my 2016 T23 with a moderately loaded boat. While Surfing around 10kts pulling around 3.5-4K on the tach the boat all of a sudden made a loud whine and loss of power. I immediately shut boat off for a few minutes. All temps and pressures were within normal operating ranges as well as fluids. Shortly after I cranked boat and put in gear..... small whining sound with no forward or reverse thrust. Im hoping I have just spun the shaft or prop. Anybody had this problem???

This could be verified with a quick visual inspection.  Did you take a look under the boat?

I did, shaft turns and seems to have normal resistance. I plan on pulling prop this evening and starting there. Glad to try anything you may have in mind.

Define "loss of power."  Did the engine rev freely but you weren't going anywhere, or did the engine bog down?
