boat insurance

Has anyone used Markel American Insurance. I was considering them vs progressive.

Also, is there any key coverage items to make sure is in the policy. Our new boat is a 2021 Axis located in TN.

When I spoke to progressive the max coverage for spill liability was 500,00 but I've read you can be held responsible for up to 939,000.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Am I mistaken? Both skisafe and Markel cover 997,000. (not sure if the legal amount responsible for has increased from 939,000 but the 997,000 was standard on skisafe and Markel)

I used Markel last year when SkiSafe went up 30-40% on me with not even having any claims. I didn't file a claim or have any issues with them.  When the renewal was due, I got another quote from SkiSafe and the rate had dropped back down, so went back with them.

Located in TN as well. Ski Safe was the best price and had better coverage terms than most after shopping around. We have a 2021 A24. Hopefully the renewal price in September will be the same.

The declaration page of my ski safe policy does not mention spill liability or environmental damage, maybe it is in actual policy?
