Does a GSA (Go Surf Assist) work well on a 2008 Wakesetter VTX Diamond Hull?

This is a hard one to search but I have been trying. I am thinking about a potential Fathers Day Gift and saw a lot of mentions about this on other Malibus on this forum. Since it is such a big investment I wanted to see if anyone has tried this on our hull design and boat size. My husband is goofy foot and the wake is not great on that side.

GSA is a great system.  I can't speak to the vtx hull but we love the wave on the 08 vlx hull.  Are you currently using a wake shaping device?  What year is the vtx and what us your ballast setup? Goofy should be better vs regular side with the prop rotation, so I'd guess ballast weight and placement needs adjustment on your current setup first before installing GSA.  The GSA system itself isn't the magic recipe for a good wave, but it will add automation, wave adjustability similar to power wedge, and more push at back of wave, among other pretty awesome features.  However, without the correct ballast and placement, you likely won't experience these benefits and will likely be disappointed spending the money.

I had an 08 LSV with GSA.  I felt the wave was very good.  I also added reversible pumps to switches so I could do all surf settings from the helm with the exception of filling up the bow bag.  Now i'd just run the 50lb lead bags and move them around as needed.  I ran 1100 lb bags in each rear locker (not filled full) all 4 under floor tanks full, and another 350lb bag in the bow.  That seemed to be the magic formula for my boat.  I was very impressed with the GSA for the price.  Far cheaper than buying a new boat and better in my opinion than using one of the suction cup devices.
