Boat FIX - Waksetter VLX w/LSA

Recommended Posts

Hey Crew,

I posted earlier about my Vdrive going out. I was able to find a remanned unit directly from Indmar and is currently being repaired as we speak.

Question for you all. The marina stated they may need to pull the motor to replace the trans/vdrive unit. I don't think that needs to happen and is excessive.

Appreciate any and all feedback from the crew.

Boat is a 2012 Wakesetter VLX with the LSA motor.

Thanks Crew!!

not sure how much room there is on that boat, but I imagine on my dad's 01 VLX we could swap the V-drive without pulling the engine.  It's not much more than two coupling flanges and some cooling lines.  But that was a Walter.  Not sure what year Malibu dumped Walter V-drives.
