2000 Sunsetter LXI Steering Cable

Recommended Posts

I need to replace the steering cable on my 2000 Sunsetter LXI and couldn't find a part number on the cable. Does anybody happen to know the part number for a replacement steering cable assembly? Thank you in advance!!

It should be written on your old cable, if not call bakes or Skidim

I looked over the weekend and I couldn't find it anywhere on the cable and I didn't want to pull the entire cable out until I get a new one. Didn't think about calling Skidim, thank you!

You'll use the old cable to pull the new cable. There is a good search feature on this website and you can find lots of help when you start the reolacement.

thank you, I have read the threads already......I am not worried about the labor side side of replacing it, I am very mechanically inclined. I am just trying to buy a new cable before I pull the old one out. I keep my boat out of state and I am trying not to pull the cable before I have the new one. Sounds like I found the correct cable part number.
