Battery change ? Presets lost? 2013 Maliview

Wondering if when changing out both batteries whether the presets will be lost and revert to Factory settings? Has anyone had this experience. If they will get lost I will just put jumper cables on to provide power during the change. Any advice appreciated.

They shouldnt get lost.  I pull the batteries in the winter and have never had an issue.  2012 VTX.

Every time you shut the batteries off power is lost.  Shouldn't lose the presets.

Thanks Guys, I wasnt sure if there was some direct line to the batteries kinda like the bilge pump.
