Boat Rescue

This was an interesting opportunity turned into many good memories. Several years ago, Boon Lake had an issue with the dam and had to be drained to a level adequate for making repairs. Unfortunately, my father-in-law had his boat stranded by the extreme low lake levels. This was a bummer, since my wife and I would bring our two young daughters to grandpa's every summer for vacation and playing on the lake. I hatched the plan to rescue the boat and in return bring the boat to Colorado, where we live, and use it until Boon Lake was re-filled. Father-in-law was receptive to the idea, but a little skeptical of the possibility for success. Enjoy the pictures of the rescue in action, lots of overkill, no room for dropping boat. Definitely a fun operation.

A little out of order, but you get the idea.

That water would have to rise a few feet to be called low, lol.    Good job!   That would be interesting to walk the shoreline with a metal detector to see what you could find.  I know I left an almost new wake board rack in one of my local lakes back in 2006...don't ask haha.

The lake bottom is definitely interesting. Kind of terrifying to see the sawed off tree stumps that dot the shallow shore line
