2 or 3 batteries and a switch like this:

Also a trickle charger for when you're not on the water so your batteries are fully charged and healthy the next time you go out.

Can't hurt to have a Jump N Carry on board..

What trickle charger recommendedations? Jump N Carry?

I'm a big fan of Blue Seas Add a Battery system.  It's totally automatic with the ACR and switch positions are normally just ON & OFF with the ACR managing the charging of both banks, but you can still combine banks if necessary.

This in conjunction with a jump pack and you're about as equipped as you can be.  I have the NOCO GB40.  It is nice to just hand it off to a boat that has issues.  It charges by USB or 12v outlet.

The reason I went with the Jump N Carry is I wanted the optional air compressor.  I normally keep it in my car but put it in my boat when using it.  Alway could use it to pump up a trailer tire.

Funny thing is I've never used it for myself just friends, co-workers, strangers.  I've had it for over 10 yrs and just replaced the battery this week.

Me too.  I had one with the air compressor but ended up putting it in the tow vehicle and saved space with the smaller jump pack in the boat.

And I replaced my battery last fall.  Too funny...
