1986 Skier No Crank

I have a 1986 skier. The impeller went out while on the water, so just replaced it along with rebuilt the water pump as well as replaced the rubber exhaust tubes. I went to start it and it just clicks/hums at the large red resent switch at the rear of the motor. I turned the crank with a socket to make sure that the engine was not seized after the impeller issue. It does spin and is not seized. Where should I start to trouble shoot? Thank everyone you are appreciated.

The clicking is probably the starter solenoid.  Charge the battery and clean the battery terminals, then clean the terminals at the starter and the ground lead at the back of the starboard head.  Then proceed with the troubleshooting guide posted above.
