Center tank keeps filling after being emptied...

Hi all, I hope you are well. We have a 2018 21 VLX and after putting the boat in the water we tested a few things out, and ran into some snags:

1) The center tank keeps filling after we empty it; even with the boat parked. We empty it completely and start to see it being filled again - has anyone run into this issue?

2) The back right hard tank (drivers side back tank) will fill with no issues, but it won't drain unless the battery 'switch' is moved from 1 to 2. It never did this before.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Cheers.

Why do you say it’s filling?  Do you hear the pump running?  Or does the ballast screen show filling?  You said you put it in the water, is this a new to you boat?  The battery switch thing will take some wire tracing.  Someone might have rewire the pump wrong.  Both batteries should feed the main panel one might be dead.

Check the vent loops under the dash. They may be too low and need to be raised up as high as possible.

I have owned three Bu's with one being a '17 VLX.  The center tank always seems to carry a bit of water.  I have never heard it filling via the pump, though.  Something we just are used to now.  A few gallons is all that's in there.

On my old 07 it filled by itself while driving through the pump when the valves were open.  Try draining the tank and shut the valve to see if that's the case.

Ok, thanks all. This is not a new boat to us, we had it custom made for us in 2018. I called Malibu and they said the same thing - check to see if one of the  vent loops has fallen.

They all refill if the line falls below the water line. If you don't already have one, buy one split the line and make sure the valve stays above the water line.

Yep, this is exactly what it was. I did have one of those, it had just fallen down. I used some zip ties to ‘right it’ back up and into play above the water line. Thanks all.
