We have been out of the lake scene for over 20 years. Some things have changed, and some have stayed the same. Older boats need constant TLC, but the internet has changed how we do it. I’ve spent hours reading helpful posts by other members. It sounds like I should check filters first before I replace the fuel pump. If I have to replace the fuel pump, what is the best brand and what website should I use?

Can you give us some context here?  What exactly are you experiencing with your boat?  For sure, before swapping a fuel pump any filters and inlet screens needs to be replaced/cleaned otherwise it could be a spendy purchase that doesn't solve the issue.  For example, an issue that comes to mind is the dreaded vapor lock issue with boats of your vintage, and a fuel pump may help alleviate the problem, but not completely solve it and could be an unnecessary purchase.

But to answer your question, I've had good luck with Summit Racing.
