High pitch buzzing from tower speakers

Recently purchased a Malibu M240 from Texas Malibu in Austin. On the test drive there was a high pitch buzzing from the drivers side tower speakers. Destin with sales assured me it was just a grounding issue and it would be fixed prior to delivery. 5 months later and the dealer is still giving me the run around. Starting to realize I’m going to have to fix it on my own. Any advice on what could be the problem? Or any advice on a good person to contact in the Austin area who could fix it?  Your time is much appreciated. Thanks

It’s a new 2021

It has multiple amps so it may be running those two tower speakers off a single amp. Idk

Covid has nuked our last 2 boat shows, so I have not stepped foot in a 2021. In the past, the OEM setup has been a single 2 channel for the tower speakers, a 6 chnl for the cabin speakers are woofer #1. Then a 2nd 2 chnl bridged to the 2nd woofer option, if equipped.

@MLA is right.

If you can verify all your amps ground to the same location(which should be the case), I would assume the signal output on right side amp outputs has an issue.

You could potentially swap the left with the right to see if the noise changes sides.

To be honest, Malibu and Axis seemed to be plagued with this type of sound issue. Every other owner has chased down “crickets” buzzing, whining etc. noises for as long as I can remember. I think the ones that don’t hear it are half deaf.

I think this is spot on, Malibu's have a lot of noise in their setup.

That may not be your problem though.  I would swap speakers and see it the noise follows them. Also give wetsounds a call, they are very helpful.  If it ends up being the amp the dealer should warranty it no problem.

The amplifier running the right tower speakers was the issue. Dealer came through and switched the bad amp out for me. Now the system works great. No more buzzing!!

My 2021 is in the shop right now for speaker buzz. Dealer thinks bad amp too. Only starts buzzing after ~30 mins initially and goes away with a stereo power cycle, but then the time before it starts buzzing gets shorter and shorter…. Will see what solution ends up being.
