First question of probably many...

Hello all!!!

I'm new to Malibu Boats and The Malibu Crew.

Dealers up here aren't so helpful so I'll probably have lots of questions. Hopefully I'll figure out the site quick and won't mess up too much. Please feel free to guide me in the right direction if I'm posting in the wrong spot.

To the matter at hand...

In my "new to me" 2016 Malibu 23 LSV I found this in one storage compartment not attached to anything... I can't seem to figure out where it is from... Your help is appreciated.

That is the side wall cover that goes in the locker under the observers area (goods on the wall opposite of your amps.)  There are a few screws that hold it in place.  I am guessing you have a bunch of wires visible if you open the observers locker.  That piece covers everything up to make it look nice.

Mine fell off too, but on mine, the plastic piece broke. Fortunately, I was still under warranty. Hope it didn't come from a dealer like that!

Thanks!!! That is where it exactly where it is from. I bought the boat used and It was just stuffed in the back storage.

It doesn't look like it is secured very well. Is the Black plastic piece and the metal bracket the only points of contact?
