Extra large/custom bimini

HasBeen

Recommended Posts

I know it will look strange but the Arizona sun is a beating in the summer, and we do a lot of entertaining/boating with other kids and moms that don't appreciate the sun. Does anyone have a recommendation for a bimini that will cover the bow of my sslxi? If it makes a difference, I'm planning to buy a tower but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I'd also be interested in something to cover the rear bench seating. I know that would interfere with a rope attached to the tower and probably ski pylon, but we spend a lot of time swimming and just hanging out in the boat, or tubing with the rope attached to the back of the boat.

I have a friend that had an extension for his bimini to go farther forward, and it never took...issue was that to keep the wind from getting under it, it had to continually slope down.  After about 12 inches it was too low for the driver to see well, and never really went far enough out to provide more shade up front.  I'd suggest buying a pontoon with a large cover, and have that be your "home base" for the entertaining, and use your boat as the toy.
