Wireless Charger Not Working (not plugged up but...)

Recommended Posts

None of the three wireless chargers are working on my 2021 23 MXZ.  I found the connector disconnected under the glove box (labeled wireless charger) and plugged it up but it didn't work.  I didn't see an option in settings, is there a fuse box somewhere?  Not sure where the wiring harness connects to the power so any information from someone who has traced these would be helpful.  I could take it to the dealer but where is the fun in that?

Are you using a case with your phone? Try removing the case and see if it works. PM me for more suggestions.

I thought our's weren't working either but it is very picky on placement.  My phone has to be in just the right spot to work.  I have only been able to get the one under the arm rest by the throttle to work.  Guessing my phone wasn't the right size for the one on the dash.

Ever figure this out?  None of the 3 on mine are working either, Samsung Phones, no cases.

I did.  At the helm you need to move your phone up about 1/4" and it will start to charge.  The armrest will charge without a case and 'perfect' placement.  The glove box doesn't work no matter what.  The dealer will just rip the seadeck material off and say go for it but your phone will slide around.  I'm hoping they fix this (legitimately) in 2022.  Oddly they worked in my 2019 just fine so not sure what they changed.

My new boat should be at the dealer any day now but won't know the answer until March.  Others may have more recent data.

This is an older thread, but my wireless chargers weren't working and the USB plugs weren't either.  Started tracing wires and figured out the wire wasn't plugged into the breaker by the helm.  Plugged that in and they all magically started working.  Simple, stupid fix!

My USB plugs work but wireless doesn't work.

Dealership said that many of the 2022 models don't have the right chips for wireless because of the semiconductor chip shortage worldwide.

I noticed that on Malibus website they don't advertise the wireless charging as a feature anymore and it wasnt listed on my build sheet even though my boat clearly has demarcated areas for wireless charging
