2012 TXI Heater install - power source

Recommended Posts

I'm full of questions today... I'm making and installing my own under dash heater system. I like to wire it into my control panel on the right side of the steering wheel. Has anyone done this? I see a few female unused electrical connectors and what appears to be a USB in that area but unsure what they are for. Thoughts?

Here’s the thread from when I did mine. I connected straight to the power and ground bar and mounted a new switch. You can see that I looked into a bunch of other options and this was the best that I could find.

My 2015 25 foot LSV had the factory pre wiring under the dash I found.  That is best is you have it because you don't need to put in a new switch.  I can control mine from the computer screens just like a factory install.

If you are doing a recirculation pump (and it makes the heater work much, much better) that works best to wire into the fuel pump relay.
