Best engine option for axis t23

Shred

Recommended Posts

Im looking to purchase a 2015-2017 Axis t23 and don't know what's the best engine option to look for when purchasing. I mainly wakeboard but would get into surfing with one of these boats. I hear the 5.3 350hp engine lacks power when filled with ballast. Leaning towards the 409hp engine. Thoughts?

Yes, agree with @abovewater. Definitely the 409. But keep in mind the 409 is just a random number, it does not have 409hp. The "409" engine actually has 363hp and 341ft lbs torque.

I am not totally familiar with those years of T23 but I think the biggest option is the "450" and the smallest may be the 350 (not sure on the smallest one...but don't go there).

The "450" is also a random number. I think the HP/torque numbers for that one are 374hp/351lb ft.
