Indmar 6.0 (L96) Circulation Pump

Recommended Posts

First startup of the season and my Indmar 6.0 circulation pump was leaking out the weep hole and slinging water. The Indmar oem pump is north of $600. I went with the auto version for just over $100. After install I took apart the original thinking there had to be something special that made it so expensive. Maybe a cast bronze impeller.... Drum roll.... It’s just a rebadged and painted standard auto pump with a steel impeller.  Posting in case others have the same issue.

6.0 is semi closed cooling - correct?  Meaning that water pump had coolant in it rather than lake water.  Only time a marine circulation pump is needed is a raw water system (lake water in pump)
