Monsoon 350 - Only sucking 3 liters of oil out of engine

Recommended Posts

Monsoon 350 - I have a oil extractor - I am only pulling 3 liters of oil out? I warmed the engine up. How much should I be sucking out? I believe 5 liters? I can’t imagine 2 liters of oil is still in there. Any ideas?

Thanks - Where does it drain through? I’m taking a look now but not sure

There is a hose that is typically clipped to one of the engine lift points, but could be just laying in bilge.  You can typically shove it through the transom drain hole.

Just below full (I think) - I’ll let it sit for an hour and see if anymore comes out.
When I refill I’ll take note of the amount. Thanks for the help mate.

It is possible that the drain hose has a bubble, or blockage, or is kinked when pulling it out the through drain plug hole.  Best way to get all the oil out for me has been to connect the oil extractor to the drain hose.

Next time, use the drain hose and let it drain overnight. No need to run engine then. Your on the trailer, I assume?
