2021 25 LSV with LT4 Prop setup

Looking for recommendations on prop size for the LT4 on our upcoming 25. We mostly surf, so I'm curious on what other's are running with RPM average along with estimated fuel consumption.

You will have no shortage of power and torque so you do not need the torque prop. I would guess the speed prop option will do great for you in Seattle. If you travel to higher elevation lakes you might want to go with the standard prop. I don't know what the specific props are, but that is where I would start. What did your dealer suggest? They can reach out to the factory too.

What’s the v-drive ratio? On my 2017 25LSV with the 575 Raptor motor, it was 1:1.76 and I ran a 17x19 prop for Phoenix area lakes and kept my 17x17 stock/standard prop for Lake Powell. I ran pretty heavy at times surfing (full ballast, full PNP along with 650lb in the walkway and 10 people) and it never needed more power. It did better on fuel usage than my old 2007 23LSV with the 350 motor. Love the SC motor in the big boat. Only problem was needing 91oct gas and some lakes only have 87oct.

@ahopkinsVTX  I haven't spoke to my dealer on this yet.. I'll see what they recommend. What advantages will be had with the speed prop? Thanks

FWIW, most dealers are going by the factory book and will just recommend standard prop, regardless of elevation. They mean well, but they don’t geek out on a few hundred RPMs, and really don’t care about fuel. Their main concern is not having someone spend $100-200k and get all fired up online about not being able to plane out their boat. Happens all the time, and you’ll see those posts start up in a few weeks.

If you get a backup prop, get a 17x17 for the higher elevations, and run the speed prop the rest of the time. Guessing it’s still the 17x19 mentioned above.

Totally agree since you have the 2:1, you'll be happy with the performance as the LT4 is even more powerful than the old 575 Raptor.

Thanks @NWBU I appreciate the info. I'm going to pull the trigger on a speed prop and roll with it until I decide on a road trip to higher elevation.

I have a 2020 M240 with LT4 and I prefer the 18x14 and 18x15.5. I’m around 250 above sea level and the 18x15.5 is a great prop. And your dry weight is less than the M you should be good to go with the Acme 3313.

On the M240 do you prefer the 18x14 or 18x15.5? I’m debating about ordering a 15.5. I loved the 17x15.5 I ran on my M235.

I really like the 18 X 15.5 I have ran with that prop at just over 1200 ft. with no issues.

We run the speed prop on our 2019 with the M6, no lack of power there either.

Thanks @asnowman appreciate it. I'm going to give the speed prop a shot.

If you get the 17x17, I still have my brand new spare 17x19 sitting here. I have ZERO use for it and it is kind of a rare need prop. Only a few boats made will ever be able to use the 17x19. I kept it since I thought I'd eventually get another boat that uses a 17" prop. Welp, the M220 went with the 18" prop and the 17x19 really won't work on that.
