Boating on Omena Bay (Grand Traverse Bay)

We took a trip last year for our anniversary and brought the boat up Grand Traverse Bay. Stayed at Omena Bay, boated to Old Mission and up and down the West Bay. Even got to ski on flat crystal clear water. That was really freaky because you can see the rocks beneath you and even if the water is 12 feet deep you think you or the boat is going to hit one of them. Really awesome time though. That's awesome.  I've been out there, but never on a Malibu.  It is indeed beautiful.

You need to go check out some of the other lakes up there.  There are several that are pretty incredible.  We enjoy Torch, Crystal, Lelaneau, and Higgins on the regular.

Crystal is awesome when it's not all chopped up.  I find that the southwest area cove is sometimes pretty good water.  It's relatively shallow there, but sometimes it gets isolated from the wind.  It's another beautiful lake.  If you haven't been on Glen, I would check that out as well.  The public launch is on little Glen and can be a tad sketchy as a result of stupid people, but the lake itself is beautiful.  Well worth the trip.
