Never had an sue in our 2011 vtx with the 350 monsoon in it. Even with full ballast plus 2k of bags and 10 people. I would think the 410 should be fine.

Even with Surfgates do you think?

We borrowed a 2017 VTX with the 6.2 410 raptor and it had zero issues surfing or skiing with the standard prop. I don’t recall what it was now but I know it was the upgraded torque prop. I think it was the OJ 948

Our 2019 vtx had the pcm crusader 6.0l 410 and had no issues either. I don’t think it was quite as torquey as the raptor but it did just fine. I would order it again if it was the offered engine. We had the 1:50:1 transmission and standard prop, OJ 951

Our 2020 has the M5. Favorite of all by far. Does everything great. Lower RPMs than both, quieter than both and I’d argue that it’s every bit as torquey/power or more than both. It definitely hooks up out of the whole better than both, pulling a skier up is a breeze. Surfing with it is amazing too, we are at or under 3500 rpms basically no matter how we set the boat up. The wave isn’t as good but it can easily surf at 11-11.2mph. Couldn’t do that with the 2019 and I don’t think we tried on the 2017.

Note, we use 300 pounds of lead in the bow for all but that’s it for extra weight.

I had one in my 16 VTX and it had plenty of power even with a fully loaded boat.  Its loader than the M's but I liked that about it.  Its not as fuel efficient either but in my experience a rock solid motor.  The only issue I ever had was the O2 sensors which they have since resolved.
