Howdy y’all 

 

I getting due for an impeller change on my boat, what is the torque spec for the housing for the impeller? Any tips for replacing them?

Get it tight by hand and call it a day.   Personally, i pulled the belt.  Removed the pulley (3x allen head bolts).  Chip the paint off the 3x 10mm bolts.  Remove the cap, pull the impeller.  Reverse steps for install.  Do it once and you will quickly see how easy it really is.  If you're really worried about vibrations, you could use a dab of Loctite Blue on the bolts.  But I personally don't use it.

8.5-9 ft. lbs for the housing bolts, per owners manual. The job is easy, I just did mine on the same engine.
