Cooler recommondations

I am getting ready for spring and looking at soft sided coolers. Yeti are over priced so what other options should I look at?

Love my RTIC 40. Great size to fit behind the drivers seat and the flip up bolster. Keep the zipper well lubed with the supplied lube and it will serve you well. I have 3 AO’s coolers which are now padded boat bags. One of the few recommendations from this site that didn’t pan out. YRMV

That was what I was leaning towards. Thanks for confirming

Mission Boat gear has a very nice soft sided cooler called the Tempest. About the size of the larger Soft sided yeti cooler(which we also have) and functions just as well for 1/2 the price. Fits under the seat of our A24 with no issues.

I have had one of these for well over a decade and it holds ice well provided temps are sub-100 degrees. Plus it fits perfectly on the floor of the bow which is desirable when we're skiing.

We keep a hard Rtic 20 in the walkthrough to the bow for quick grabs and throw extra drinks, sandwiches and snacks in our AO soft sided cooler like this https://www.aocoolers.com/product-page/38-pack-stow-n-go-cooler-black.  Fits great under multiple seats and stays cold.  We were fortunate to get one of these with Axis logo on it from our dealer.  When we're not using it for cooler duties it get used as a padded bag under the seats for dry clothes, towel etc.

We’ve had this one from AO Coolers for over 10 years. We use it in the boat, day trips, and multiple years at the Indian Wells tennis tournament. It has kept ice sitting out in the hot desert sun.

I've been happy with the AO soft side for a year now. They are fine for taking stuff just for the day. Frequently 100+ on my lake too, so I keep the AO's under a seat and they are great. I use RTIC hard sided coolers if I need a few days and have been very happy with them. Not a fan of having to use Zipper lube otherwise I would have bought the RTIC version.

Another happy AO cooler user here. Works fine for small groups and day trips.

When we go for longer trips or bigger groups we put a Yeti 75 on the floor. I figure it’s easier to get into, ice lasts longer, more ballast, and gives the dog something else to step on

I have an RTIC soft side cooler and love it.  My only complaint is its not as easy to open as our Yeti Roadie, both keep drinks cold all day in the sun.

If you don't lube the zipper, it will rip on you. I found out the hard way, but mine does see A LOT of use all year.

Yes agreed we used it at the beach for years and had to be careful with the lube
