Hi guys!

My mercruiser waterpump went bad !! My seals and bearings are bad, it nows leaks water and wobbles!

I have bought a 46-862914A13 kit to replace.

But here is my pulley! How can i withdraw that pulley, because it seems to be not the usual type.

How can I withdraw this pulley?

Thanks!!

Your new pump should have come with an installation tool (just a bolt, nut and large washer) that you use to force the pulley onto the shaft.  The old one likely has a press-on pully, so remove the bolt and use...wait for it...  a pulley removal tool to walk it off the shaft.

Hey thanks!!

So you think my old pulley is compatible with the new pump?

Because on the old pump it s a plain shaft and on the new pump its a threaded shaft !

If don't know if you see what I mean 😅

Yeah, that would be the type of tool to use.  But the picture of the new pump you bought shows a smooth shaft.  The threads inside the shaft of the new pump are for the installation tool, not for securing the pulley AFAIK.  You probably will have to use your old pumps backplate, too.

And if it was me, I'd have bought a new pulley as well.  Sierra and Merc both make them.

Yup, same as a power steering pump.  The likelihood of an old pulley coming off in good shape is low.  New ones are cheap.
