SeaTeak? Soft Grip Flooring on eBay...has anyone used it?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried the soft grip flooring that can be ordered on eBay (it ships from China)?  Product name is SeaTeak Marine Floor.  Looks like the seller / product has very good reviews on eBay.  Good or Bad experiences anyone?  Thanks in advance!  Cheers!

You can search the following on eBay:

2019-2020 MALIBU 23LSV Cockpit 1/4" 6mm EVA Faux Teak Decking deck mat

or SeaTeak Marine Floor

A couple of things...  how does that price compare to a "legal" state-side price?  Also, I noticed that the ad description is rather well writte; no "Engrish" - which suggests to me that this is a US guy that offshored the mat production.

I used some cheap eBay EVA foam to cover a plyometric box I built for my wife’s home gym.

I bought a couple square feet on a roll.
The material itself was very much like original Seadek (feel & touch). The adhesive backing however - a complete different story. Super cheap and it didn’t stick well to the (painted) wooden surface of the box. It was quite disappointing to see all the edges of the foam coming up after only a few hours.

If I would ever buy some knock-off Seadek again, I would make sure the backing was some quality product like 3M.
