Motor swap

Howdy,

We have an 07 23 LSV - 383 hammerhead. This last fall the crank shaft snapped as common with the HH. We are in a bind due to the fact they no longer make that crank nor can find a HH motor according to Michigan Motorz - so we are considering a full engine swap to something different. I've seen some discussion specifically on LS swaps, but wanted to see if anyone had experience with a motor swap in a similar boat and what motor people recommend or have had success with or if you know where a HH crank is at that would be helpful as well.

I'll tell you this. If/when my engine goes out (335 Indmar), I will not be purchasing a replacement. It will be getting an LS. Only thing would be making sure they mount up with the trans. Power and reliability would be better, endless amounts of aftermarket support, parts are everywhere and cheap. Sounds like a no brainer.
