The family seems pretty excited about this build for a 23 MXZ.  My concern is that with no color after a season or two of touching docks and fenders it is going to look pretty distressed while most any color except black will do better.  Anyone have an opinion or experience with a white boat?  Would the light blue fare better?

My boat is blue with a white hull.  I had my boat ceramic coated a couple of years ago and I don't notice any distress on the white.  I see more imperfections in the the blue of my boat than I do the white.  If you do a white boat and you are concerned, get it ceramic coated and this will help prevent things from sticking to it and make cleaning it so much easier.  I will definitely do the ceramic again.  The blue really shows the scuffs and scratches more than white will.

I agree.  My boat is white, red, black, and grey.  The white is easy - it also doesn't need as much buffing attention because it reflects more of the sun.....if you plan on keeping it for a few decades.  :)

+1 for white

My hull is all white and the only thing that is very noticeable is when I haven't scrubbed the bottom in a while. ie when the pollen is bad in the spring

My dad's hull is gloss black and I do not envy his decision. It looks great, but its a pain

I normally make decisions based on how I'm going to feel about it in 10+ years. I do not have the financial stature that I can rebuy every few years. Sure, the cotton candy, rasta, or peanut butter jelly boats look cool now. But, Will I feel the same in 10 years? White is always be in style
