think i may have asked this years ago, but cant find it in search

where does this handle mount and what is its function

notice it has knob bolts to mount and de mount it from installed hardware

wife threatened to throw it out cleaning the attic but i know i got it with boat cause of the SS hardware and black powder coating

it would require some drilling to mount those screws as well

It was for the window, mirror arm mount on my 2010 LSV.

thx, ok, clue me in a little more, how would that handle be a part of that assembly,  aren't windshield mirror mounts a thumb screw or two using a u clamp? and where would the stainless corner mounts go,? those screws look like they belong  in fiberglass

what does handle do relative to mirror ?

A plastic "U" bracket wrapped around the bar and screwed into the back side of the mirror with the thumb screw. The bracket attached to the top and front of the center walk through on my 2010. The screws, surprisingly are correct.

thx again, im guessing there are holes in top of frame, i guess my lazy butt could go uncover the boat !!  i have tower mirror but i like the handle for use opening snd especislly closing when already under way!! with that wind pressure you fight when attempting this.  cool!

Too thin between the glass and the frame I imagine. You would have to make 2 "U" type bracket with internal set screws to have a clean installation. That would allow you to position it where ever you wanted it as well.

def wont be drilling! guess we will still use the frame as our handle

just hated to not use something that came with boat

guessing those old malibu’s had accommodating holes??

I never paid too much attention to the set up of the frame to window mating area. I would guess that the frame had more stand off from the glass in that area to accommodate the screws. I got rid of the handle thumb knobs and used 2 SS hex pan head screws that made for a lot stronger handle and a really clean look.
