“Check Transmission” 2014 Lxr

Hey guys just chasing some advice/knowledge, 

2014 Lxi 350 monsoon, getting a “check Transmission” fault coming up on Malibu cruise screen followed by an alarm, happening only when boat is under load, not idling

I'm wondering if the tranny is overheating. You may check the output of the raw water pump that feeds the tranny cooler to see if there is debris in there.

I would also check the fluid level. Double check your manual to ensure you check it correctly. Sometimes it says to check it cold, other times it says to check it warmed up. Make sure it isn’t burnt smelling or discolored.
