Axis Mirror arm add color?

On the tower mirror arm that has AXIS on the it, has anyone ever added color to the "AXIS"?

If it is powder-coated, there is a lot of prep to make it stick.  Frankly, you might be better with vinyl letter inserts.

one trick with that arm, mount it just above the weld to lower it and turn the mirror mount upside down snd mount the 2nd mirror in picture upside down ,  last is to rotate the arm part slightly outward toward water.  really gives a better view without tilting your head much at all .  with the out rotation you wont hit your head and it allows the upside down mirror a better angle .  luv the look of that arm
