Oil Stabilizer

Anyone here have any experience using Lucas oil stabilizer? I own 2003 Wakesetter with 700 hours. Engine runs great but uses a little oil. Typically after running it good for two weekends I have to add anywhere from .5-1 quart of oil. I’ve heard that oil stabilizer will help with that. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

I'd replace your PCV valve and confirm where the oil is going.  That's way too much IMHO.

Thanks for the reply. There is no visible sign of any oil leak anywhere in the boat. There really is only one sign that could possibly be an indication where the oil is going. On the first crank of the weekend after previously running it the weekend prior is white smoke. It may have a faint bluish tent which would be an indication of oil. It’s hard to tell if it is blue because it would be so faint. This is the only time I have exhaust smoke. So this kinda led me to believe that the oil leak may be happening in the valve stem seal.

If it were to be a faulty PCV valve shouldn’t I notice a rough idle?

How many hours between the 2 weekends, and what activities behind boat. There is a lot of different snake oils you can try, I don't if they work or not. Most are just a thicker oil which can help with ring seal, but not sure how the different viscosity would affect long term.

A bad PCV valve can allow oil to be sucked through the intake and burned. Bad valve seals can let oil get sucked into the combustion chamber, and worn rings can let oil blow by the pistons (as well as allow pressure the crank case and make the symptoms of a bad PCV valve much worse)....

Some of the additives may temporarily help the condition, but no such thing as a mechanic in a bottle :)
