Yep.....and it's a great engine.  The Monsoon 450 or Raptor 450 is used in Supra and Tige'.  Again, I've said it, others have said it, but you got a free upgrade regardless of how it was communicated or not communicated from the dealer.  Enjoy it.  If it really bothers you, sell it and get something different.  I know if it was me, I'd be happy I got the upgrade but like you, disappointed that it was poorly communicated.  Whether that would have led me to sell and order something different, I'm not sure.

 

Also, FWIW, Ford has been making engines for the Marine industry for many decades.  They got out of the game for a while and the GM 5.7 took over.  It was branded differently by different boat manufacturers.  They were and are all good engines.  When Ford got back into the marine engine game, it was with the 6.2L V8 that was developed for the F150 Raptor, which was not a new engine.  It was modified from a previous iteration of the 6.2L V8 used in other trucks, IIRC.

Seriously man, you are making a mountain out of a molehill IMO.

 

You got an upgraded engine at zero cost which is going to increase the value of your boat if you trade in or sell down the road.
