2021 24 Mxz Questions

I have had a 23 LSV and a 25 LSV. We are contemplating the move to a 24 MXZ. I have a few questions I need help with.

What are the main differences in how the pickle fork handles, and how do the two(traditional bow vs pickle fork) compare in choppy water?

Anyone care to share their experience with a 21 model 24 MXZ as far as Surf Wave?

Any input on new options are appreciated as well?

Thanks

I have a 23 mxz, but the 24 is similar.  All pickle fork malibu models sit lower on the water at the bow than the traditional 25 lsv.  In rough water they slam through the wave.  The traditional boat slices through it.  FWIW i just ordered a 21 25LSV and am selling my 23 MXZ.  On the flip side I absolutely loved the bow space.  We surf a lot and spend time in lake tahoe which can have significantly rough water, so the MXZ just wasn't ideal for our use.  I'm sure other will disagree with me but I just wasn't a fan after one season.

I had a 23 LSV. I am with @djheywood the traditional bow slices through the wave a little better for sure. But the bow space we have is a trade off and I love having it.  We don’t really have rough water here in Central Oregon. I have been on Lake Billy Chinook in a summer rain storm and the waves and winds were definitely very high. I think it handled the waves pretty good. I would say we had 2 foot white caps and it did well. The surf wave is awesome!

I have a 2019 24 MZX and I am regularly in newer 23 and 25 LSV's on a lake that gets rough and I politely disagree with the notion that there is a big difference in handling in rough water. Most of the differences in the hull are are above the running surface. Our family loves the room in the bow on the MXZ, it is the most popular spot in the boat for adults and kids.
