i have a 2003 malibu vlx wakesetter. my depth finder quit working and it only reads 400. I've heard is a common issue but the transducer is discontinued. i've heard that i would have to buy an aftermarket depth finder. any recommendations on how to repair it would be greatly appreciated.

I've been searching and cant find the original thread on this.  I have the same issue - ordered another transducer, but haven't installed it.  I'll keep trying to find the thread and post here for you.
