2014 vs 2015 Axis transmission ratio

I'm in the market for a new to me boat. My budget is $57k, which puts me in 2014-2015 Axis range. I have read that the transmission ratios changed from 2014 to 2015. I am guessing 2015 is better if I can find one? Can someone explain to me what changed, and what it means?

Also, would you get a T22 or A22 and why?

i dont think the pcm in an axis 2015 is a 2:1, that was for Nautique and their G series after 2013, im thinking its the same as the 1.5 14 axis but with a 6 litre gm motor ( like 2013 G) instead of a indmar 5.7 gm in 14 like mine with a 1.5/1

be real careful with 2015 a22 early production boats with walk thru windshield as they had hull stringer separation issues, quite a few went back to factory for rebuilds

only the original owner gets that lifetime hull warranty treatment,  boat will have spider web cracks in side of hull near tower,  i saw an 2015 a22 for sale with a wrap on it, hell to the nah nah

i would get a 2014 a22,  i like the look of old fatax tower better for looks anyway and the totally debugged GM indmar drive train is stupid reliable and you get a much bigger bow bag, I’m at 980 hours in  5.75 years with the only a thermostat and a small valve cover gasket leak, even my dripless shaft seal is dry as a bone

Some of the 15' A22's did have stringer/hull issues, but I wouldn't let that deter you form getting one over a 14', because the redesigned hull was a lot better that year. I think the lifetime hull warranty can be transferred to a 2nd owner after a dealer does an inspection and charges you a fee. Just contact your local dealer to make sure the lifetime hull warranty can be transferred to you on the specific boat you're looking at, or ask the original owner if the hull has already been fixed by Malibu, and have them provide proof.

i dont think the lifetime hull warranty transfers,  i would make sure it was a later production boat per the hull ID or as you said proof of fix
