The power button on my 2012 mxz won’t light up after it is pressed(turned on) Voltage sitting at 0.5 volts. When should the power button illuminate? When battery is turned on? After pressing power button? 

Background: I found black wire connected to relay which drives power button led was disconnected. Black wire connects to pin 86 of the, which should be grounded to trigger relay.I e tree connected black wire to ground wire I found hanging close by. Seems correct, thoughts?

Background2: I am chasing this blue wire which feeds relay which feeds power button led. Reasoning is my mtc screen went blank. Could this blue wire be cause of that too? Thinking it should be at 12v. Any idea what is driving the blue wire?
