During the last two trips on the lake the perfect pass will just come on.   I have not turned it on and it is difficult to shut off.     I also got a "volt" message but I have new batteries and my battery gauge shows a normal level.  

I am thinking a fuse or something electrical,  any thoughts?

Canned answer, but is a good first step for any electrical troubleshooting: check all your grounds at the buss bar.  Doesn't sound like grounds at engine block, alternator, battery, etc are necessary, but I'd start there first.  They really need to be good and tight, as they work themselves out easily.
