Water line to prop

Recommended Posts

Morning crew,

i believe  the water line/hose that runs to my prop is for cooling reasons for when I run the bought on the driveway. Now, i never put it in gear thus dont need the “cooling” aspect of said line, correct?

reason I am asking is it is a pain in the butt when winterizing the boat, I lose a bunch of A/F from there. Yes I could just plug it when winterizing but do I actually need this line there at all....?

@tvano it does come from the trans cooler, lower half. The water runs “downstream” to the prop shaft. I suppose I could just install a small valve and shut off when winterizing too.....
